You have added Concrete Pavers to make your outdoor area standout. To ensure they continue to look great you need to ensure you regularly clean them following the following steps:
Step 1: Sweep
It is important to regularly sweep concrete pavers to them from dirt and loose leaves. If the pavers have unsealed edges or cracks you will need to remove any leaves that have built-up in these areas.
Step 2: Wash
Once lose dirt and leaves have been swept away, it is time to wash the pavers. Start by using a gardening hose to rinse the pavers. Rinsing the pavers will help remove more stubborn dirt. Once you have rinse, add mild detergent to the water and scour the pavers with a broom. Once, you have finished scouring with the broom, rinse with clear water. Allow to dry well.
Step 3: Treating Stains
After washing the pavers, if stains are noticeable, you will need to determine what kind of stain it is to better treat and remove it. The best way to remove mould stains is using a mixture of bleach and water and scrubbing well. If it is an oil stain, then it is best to use liquid degreaser. Paint based stains need to be scraped off or removed with paint stripper. For all stains it is best to use cleaners that are not made form chemicals that could be harmful to the pavers. Any fading or discolouring of the pavers could be a result of not removing stains or using chemical based cleaners.
